Let’s Change: New Systems
What vocation and actions would you like to do with your life if you are not giving your life to money?
How would you care for yourself?
How would you care for your family? Friends? Neighbors? Strangers?
Now that we have mentally prepared ourselves for change we need to create the new systems that enable us to live. The new systems would generally be adaptations of our existing systems. The adaptation to existing systems would enable maximum collaboration for managing our resources, spaces and infrastructure required for us to live.
It is important to note at this point, no one will lose anything anyone currently “owns”. Wherever you’re living, the clothes you have, the objects within the places you occupy, the transportation apparatuses you currently employ… Everything you’ve acquired and are using no one is taking from you. The change would be with the dissolution of the ownership concept; anything you are not actually utilizing should become available for people in need to begin utilizing. Residences, objects, food, transportation… would not be hoarded behind a made up wall of ownership and money. The existing systems that denote “ownership” or occupation would indicate who is a registered user and anything not currently registered to a personal user would be available for people in need to register themselves as the user.
An outline of the systems that would be modified to display and fulfill needs:
Vocation fulfillment
The elimination of money would change the world in a multitude of ways, one being some people will change their job, role, career, vocation. The people whose current career is based on the maintenance of the existing economic system would now be available to do other things. The new society will no longer need bankers, sales people, marketing, PR, lawyers, billing… all the people whose lives are focused on maintaining our current system would be freed up to participate in society in a new meaningful way. Everyone will have access to be educated and trained on any vocation. There are no barriers to education so more people can be trained to be healthcare providers, builders, gardeners, transportation providers… There are enough of us to care for and provide for all of us and people will be able to do their best work for themselves and others.
When we move to a true free market society if you currently have a job to helps people and society function you will keep doing that job - for now. If you do a job that has anything to do with money management you will stop and begin to do a job that helps society function. Some vocations will require training and approval and others you can just start doing. Whatever the existing criteria is to have a Vocation will remain true, the difference is there will be no stopping people from accessing education.
Now that every contributor role is doubled, tripled or quadrupled people can engage in providing for society and have time off from their vocation to live. People could work half the year and have half the year off if they wanted. People can travel anywhere they want. People can engage in any leisure activity they choose. People can eat well. People can care for themselves and family when sick.
Instead of various different websites and locations where work needs are listed there would be one. Every role of any kind that needs to be filled would be listed in this one system. It would also list the experience or training path needed to fill the role. In addition to the role functions, location and skill requirements the posting would include how close the function/industry/community is to critical failure if the position isn’t filled on a percentage scale.
Vocation needs will be listed, as jobs are listed now, and people will fill them. People who currently operate as Recruiters can continue to do so, but instead of job matching being based on money, it will be based on the quality of individuals to fill the vocation opening. The expectation in the society proposed by this Manual is individuals will find their optimal way of contributing to society through vocation selection. The need is that everyone will participate in the way they can to ensure everything runs smoothly.
People choosing vocations in a free market society will be an optimization of the current way people take jobs. Under the existing structure some jobs are celebrated and other jobs shamed. People currently “pick” their job based on the education they were able to afford, their personal prioritization on status, aptitudes and their skills. Most of these factors are dictated by the financial caste level into which they were born. In the new world peoples skills and aptitudes would be the only factor involved in their vocation. Training for every and all kinds of jobs will be available to everyone. There could be a limiting factor of role saturation, but as long as every role has enough people doing it so society is healthy then there would be no limit to the number of people who could be trained and operating in any role. As people evolve throughout their lives they can move roles and vocations as needed. People will be productive, engaged, fulfilled and free to live under in our new true free market society.
Lack of participation will create its own consequences, naturally, as it does now. If no one chooses to farm then there will be no food. If no one chooses to make cleaning supplies then everything will be dirty. If no one chooses to make vehicles then people will have to walk. We are all responsible for each other and ourselves.
We can have “Yelp Rating” lists for everything so top performers can be acknowledged and people operating in a role not suited for them can be informed. People can work to improve their ranking if they need to be acknowledged. The rating systems can be developed and applied to any role based on feedback by their peers and consumers. Some of us aren’t built to be the best, everyone literally can’t be the best at everything. That doesn’t make their life less meaningful nor should their quality of life be dependent on their born abilities, the luck of who they are born to or the geographical area into which they are born. As long as everyone is doing their best, and participating how they can, life can be great for everyone.
An example of the new world by role:
This list is by no means exhaustive or complete. All roles that need to be filled to create and maintain a TRUE Free Market Society will be listed in Craigslist.
Training and Education
We would have systems to train people and match them to the areas of need.
Existing education systems would be adapted from what they are currently. Elementary education would be about exposure to different experiences and the development of skills that are needed fundamentally. Food development, building, sewing, reading, math, problem solving, chemistry, biology, organization… Kids would be exposed to all areas throughout elementary school. Education would no longer force kids to perform in areas they are not suited for. Everyone should be competent in subjects necessary to live life, but elementary education would be about exposure and exploration. Kids would be enabled to find what suits them and then lean into developing those skills that will allow them to be in a vocation that best suites them. Similar to picking college majors and minors, but as an adolescent you would focus your education and training on the areas you excel at. Everyone doesn’t need to be competent in everything. Not everyone needs to spend time creative writing, we’re not all meant to be writers. Some people’s brains literally don’t operate in the frivolous or imaginative. Everyone doesn’t need to be competent in algebra. I have never used Algebra a day in my life. Everyone doesn’t need to be competent in volleyball. Everyone should get exposure to all things, then focus on the areas that align with their strengths and aptitudes. Education should be about enhancing and enabling the best in people, not penalizing them for not being capable in things they are not suited for.
I lived with a roommate who is an artist and we had a DVD collection. I am not an artist, I create organized systems. My roommate wanted to categorize our DVD collection according to a Fairytale Princess hierarchy… titles related to royalty/kings at the front and titles related to animals at the end. My mind exploded at the thought - alphabetical was the correct structure. While I may have been “right” in the system for sorting DVDs, the way my roommate sees the world is equally right for a different system. They should be allowed to flourish in the systems where their perspectives and skills add the most value to society and I should be able to do the same. They should not be forced to develop competency in areas that truly don’t suit them. It is not maximizing their life and value to the world. Our education and vocation systems would enable us all to identify and engage in what we do best which will ensure the best lives for ourselves and society at large.
Logistics and supply chain management are vocations today and they would still exist, in a new way. Resources of all kinds would go into a massive management system allowing for world wide inventory to be known and tracked. As an example the Amazon inventory and logistics systems could be the designated system. People would indicate their needs for any resource and it would be procured and delivered by this supply chain and logistics system to ensure all life needs are met. The algorithm and people would monitor the system to ensure resources are being allocated responsibly and fairly.
Human resourcing would also be known and tracked. As mentioned above the vocation management system would display role saturation/ system health based on staffing volumes. The algorithm would primarily track needs and availability however there would be People responsible for watching the monitors and ensuring the algorithm is working as intended. Alerts would be sent to affected communities when low staffing starts to put a system at risk. They would then put out a vote to the whole community about the alternatives they have should a system fail so people could collaborate on how to adapt together or how to fill the need.
Housing
The existing systems where apartments available for rent or homes that are available for purchase would be combined into 1 system. The system would list every dwelling that is available for occupancy, there is no more owning or renting, Humans are occupying shelter. Dwelling listings would be similar to what is included today with the addition of more detailed community personality elements - like dorm data. People who want to live in a quiet community, substance free, with kids, without kids, one gender or coed, faith preferences… Any lifestyle characteristic would be included to allow people to live in communities they want to be part of so they can live their healthiest and happiest lives.
Names and delineations of countries, cities, towns, streets and homes can remain for navigation purposes. These location names wouldn’t denote ownership as they currently do but be used for navigation and as information on where cultural variances exist.
Laws would not exist as they do now. Towns can create the culture guidelines by which they want to live. Do they want to live without alcohol, drugs, animals, animal products, guns, churches, clothes, medical care…? Do they want to have community managed farms and gardens? Do they want everyone to wear pink on Tuesdays? Towns would set the cultural norms through voting and people who did not want to live with those cultural norms would move to another place with cultural norms that better suits them. The established cultural norms will be reviewed by the entire town annually to determine if they still want that cultural norm as a law for their town or not. People who did not follow the culture norm would be tolerated for up to 4 weeks and if they did not adapt to the rules of that community they would be asked to leave. If they persisted with disturbing the community the affected individuals would vote on how they wanted to manage this person who is causing harm. People who are Realtors now would still be able to operate in matching people looking for a residence to a home- the difference being instead of finding someone a home based on money - it will be their lifestyle and cultural values, as well as available inventory, that would be used to help someone find new housing.
Utilities generation and management
Structural engineers for energy capture/generation. People will be needed to design and create the mechanisms that will capture energy via wind, sun, kinetics, geothermals and water. Fossil fuel energy will still need to be mined and processed where renewable energy isn’t efficient or reliable. Nuclear energy will be assessed for a cost/benefit analysis if it will be utilized in the future or not.
Engineers for processing the energy, storing and distributing it.
Contractors to build and maintain the infrastructure that will deliver the energy
Administrative staff to ensure staffing for each of these areas is sufficient and materials needed to do the work have a healthy inventory where and when it is needed.
Materials storage and management - people to maintain the inventory deliveries, storage and shipments in warehouses.
New systems to ensure no one is hoarding energy or making such a load on the system that it would take the entire system down.
Structural engineers for water collection, processing, storage.
Contractors to build and maintain the distribution infrastructure.
Engineers to maintain phone, radio, television and internet communication capabilities.
Materials storage and management - people to maintain the inventory deliveries, storage and shipments in warehouses.
Trainers/Teachers to develop resources for each area.
Administrative staff to ensure staffing for each of these areas is sufficient and materials needed to do the work have a healthy inventory where and when it is needed.
Food creation and management needs
Food will still be created, procured, processed and distributed. Existing farming, processing and distribution systems would continue to exist, at least at the outset of our new society. There is an opportunity to improve on our current food creation and distribution systems now that it will not need to be based on the cheapest land and labor. We can diversify food creation by making it more locally. Converting unused office buildings into new hydroponic gardens. Allowing people to remain in their communities and participate in a new meaningful vocation. Moving food development to local communities would also reduce the pollution created currently by transporting strawberries, for example, thousands of miles across the globe. When natural disasters hit entire kinds of food wouldn’t cease to exist because it is now being created across the globe. People being involved in the creation of their food and the food they are feeding their family would likely improve the overall quality, which in turn improves overall health.
Farmers. People who will grow and manage the creation of food.
Harvesters. People who will process and compile the food when it has been created.
Distributors. People who will distribute the food once it has been harvested.
Mechanical engineers will be needed to create and maintain the equipment needed for growing, maintaining, harvesting and storing the food.
Infrastructure creation and maintenance needs
The existing infrastructure creation and maintenance systems are based on money and status, in addition to need. When someone has money and status they can build whatever they want regardless of needs or the value to the community. We would need to develop new systems to oversee infrastructure development and maintenance based on the needs of society. The new systems would be based on need. New residence structures would be created if there are people who need homes. The residences would be built to optimize quality of life and efficient use of resources. New roads, bridges, train tracks, and buildings would be created where there is need. Structure updates would also be completed based on needs being attended to first. People would register for the type of construction needed and the level of impact. Work would be completed on a queued basis, first come and first. Community infrastructure decisions would be voted on like they do now.
Property maintenance would also work on a similar registration and interest system, identifying needs and wants. If someone is occupying a home and they want to update a functional bathroom, for example, but someone doesn’t have a home or their only bathroom broke then the builders would attend to making and repairing homes before moving to update/enhancement work. People who currently are called “owners” would change to being “enterprise managers”, should they want to. Their vocation being responsible for ensuring the property is maintained. Not everyone has the skill or ability to maintain their own property. Work requests would be able to be put out for any and all maintenance work which would be fulfilled by people with the skills and abilities to do the work.
Farmers/Producers/Chemists/Miners… to generate the materials needed to create and maintain roads, bridges, tunnels, ramps, lights, sewage systems…
Contractors to build and repair the infrastructure
Distributors. People who will distribute the materials to build sites.
Materials storage and management - people to maintain the inventory deliveries, storage and shipments in warehouses.
Surveyors. People to proactively assess existing infrastructure and determine it’s needs and timeline for maintenance and repair. They would also assess proposals for new infrastructure and determine the viability and value.
Trainers/Teachers to develop resources for each area.
Administrative staff to ensure staffing for each of these areas is sufficient and materials needed to do the work have a healthy inventory where and when it is needed.
Medical care
Medical care will obviously still be needed. People would book appointments or walk into care facilities as they do now. They would receive care and medications as needed. There will be more people able to be trained to provide care, able to make medications, able to make medical devices. Quality and availability for care will vastly improve and everyone will have access.
Doctors. People trained to provide skilled medical care in all the specialties and subspecialties that exist today.
Nurses/Medical Assistants. Medically trained support staff who don’t have the same training as Doctors but are trained to do medical care of specified kinds.
Pharmacists. People who are trained in chemistry and biology to ensure people get medications that won’t cause harm when mixed and dosages that will be effective based on the condition and person’s biological makeup.
Chemists. People who develop and create medication.
Trainers/ PT/OT
Farmers/Miners. People who generate the materials needed to create medication.
Cleaners. People who prepare and clean up environments where medical procedures and visits take place.
Materials engineers to develop and create the equipment needed to provide care.
Materials storage and management - people to maintain the inventory deliveries, storage and shipments in warehouses.
Distributors. People who will distribute the materials to medical sites.
Schedulers. People to book medical appointments for conditions that can be scheduled. Scheduling would be based on patient needs and provider availability. There would be an expanded system of walk in clinics and a change in criteria for which medications require a prescription.
Trainers/Teachers to develop resources for each area.
Administrative staff to ensure staffing for each of these areas is sufficient, Infrastructure is maintained, and the materials needed to do the work have a healthy inventory where and when it is needed.
Transportation creation and management
People will still need to get around. Fewer vehicles will need to be created as everyone can share cars, bikes, boats, motorcycles… Public transit can be optimized and have more staffing in the new society. Communities can be optimized to better be able to live via walking and biking
Aviation/Boat/Train/Truck/Car mechanical engineers. People to develop and innovate building plans for airplanes, boats, trains, trucks and cars.
Aviation/Boat/Train/Truck/Car construction and maintenance mechanics. People to build, repair and maintain airplanes, boats, trains, trucks and cars.
Aviation/Boat/Train/Truck port engineers. People to develop, innovate and maintain ports airplanes, boats, trains and trucks will leave from and arrive at.
Aviation pilots. People to fly the airplanes.
Aviation flight crew. People to operate and maintain the passengers and plane during boarding, in flight and deplanning.
Boat Captains. People to drive boats.
Boat Crews. People to operate and maintain the various functions of the boat during boarding, en route, arrival and vessel preparation for the next trip.
Train Conductors. People to drive trains.
Train Crew. People to operate and maintain the various functions of the train during boarding, en route, arrival and vessel preparation for the next trip.
Truck Drivers. People to drive trucks.
Truck loaders. People to load and unload the contents in the truck trailer.
Port staff. People to support the various tasks required for Port operations.
Farmers/Chemists/Miners/Engineers to create the elements needed to create and maintain the airplanes, boats, trains, trucks, cars and ports.
Materials storage and management - people to maintain the inventory deliveries, storage and shipments in warehouses and local facilities.
Distributors. People who will distribute the materials to build and maintenance sites.
Schedulers. People to schedule passengers on the various transportation means or schedule materials distributions through these means.
En route coordinators. People to manage when planes, boats, trains and trucks are leaving, arriving and the route they are taking to ensure there aren’t collisions and staff is available to receive or send off.
Surveyors. People to analyze and assess all transportation vessels to ensure they are maintained for safety and efficiency. They would update the roster as to what maintenance and repairs will be needed and the timeline.
Trainers/Teachers to develop resources for each area.
Administrative staff to ensure staffing for each of these areas is sufficient, Infrastructure is maintained, and the materials needed to do the work have a healthy inventory where and when it is needed.
Clothing and goods creation and management
Registration and coordination systems would become a new industry, modified from the existing sales systems. Homes, cars, boats, planes, hotels, resorts, concerts, restaurants (to name a few) would all have booking systems - similar to what exists now but instead of spaces being taken through money they would just be taken by people registering to use them. Items that are used for both leisure and necessities would never be more than 90% booked for any given time period to leave room for people with emergencies that need to utilize the product. Tracking would be done to ensure no one is hoarding space or over utilizing something when someone else is in need or has not been able to have an experience they want to have. There would be interest registries to ensure anyone who wants to have an experience gets to.
Yachts, mansions and small occupancy planes (private planes) could still exist but they would not be owned. Anyone could register to use them on a queued basis. Again, needs would be attended to before leisure. For example, people that have a vacation planned using a “private plane” and a yacht but a hurricane is coming somewhere near that will endanger lives. Transportation means would be diverted from leisure to prioritize saving the lives of people and animals. Once the crisis is over the leisure activity utilization would resume. Variety adds joy to life and so luxury items would have their place as an enrichment experience, but because luxury by definition cannot be created at volume it would always be used for leisure by the public and never hoarded by a person or group.
Creators. People to sew, knit, weave, whittle, weld, iron smith, cobble, build, assemble clothes, shoes, coats, hats, bags, cooking gear, eye glasses, hearing aides, wheel chars, chairs, jewelry, brushes, lumber, nails, tools, hygiene items…
Farmers/Chemists/Lumberjacks/Miners… People to create and procure the materials needed to create goods.
Engineers to develop and optimize the plans for creating goods.
Schedulers. People to plan the volume for goods creation and ensure the materials needed to create goods have adequate inventory or planned inventory.
Distributors. People to distribute the goods to individuals, communities, organizations and stores
Administrative staff to ensure staffing for each of these areas is sufficient, Infrastructure is maintained, and the materials needed to do the work have a healthy inventory where and when it is needed.
Caregiving
Moving to a true free market society will mean everything and anything a person does to care for themselves, others, infrastructure or the environment is meaningful. Taking care of other living things is most certainly work and the outcome is the continuation of society and life as we know it so it is incredibly valuable. People who formerly worked in a job that was maintaining the economic structure can transition into the caregiving vocation.
Providers. People to care for kids, animals, people, private occupancy residency maintenance, public occupancy residency maintenance and lawns…
All the caregiving roles that exist today would still exist, in greater volume.
Respite caregiving would become a larger industry allowing for primary caregivers to have more breaks and a true village of support.
Entertainment creation and management
Joy is an essential part of life, that is not spoken of as so. Engaging in pleasurable activities and enrichment is a core component to a truly healthy life. People need stories, activities, thrills, adventures and relaxation. Every type of entertainment or art will still be essential to create. People who have been working in job that maintained the financial based society can move to vocations in entertainment creation or management.
Creators of all kinds. Stories, music, paintings, sculptures, ceramics… These are all expressions of the soul and people who have the drive to make art will make art for themselves and to enrich the lives of others. Everyone drawn to create will be able to do so.
Amusement parks, parks, movie theaters, interactive experiences… Joy is part of a healthy life and all the places we go to have fun can and should still exist. More people would be available to have entertainment creation as a vocation allowing the joy to exist while also allowing the joy creators to have more breaks. Joy creators include designers, mechanics, food stand operators, sanitation staff, crowd management - all the roles currently utilized to maintain venues would still exist.
Governing - the new industry of societal coordination
The systems used currently to maintain community infrastructure would be adapted. We would have systems monitoring the health of all systems and working to fill gaps. Instead of ownership there would be managers, facilitators, coordinators, creators, workers, occupants, users… There would be new laws related to resource management and behavior. As money doesn’t exist there is no value in making a structure that is designed to maintain poverty or bigotry. True safety, wellness, collaboration and effective resource management would be the purpose of governing. Ensure the health of all people, infrastructures and beings - not power over them.
We need to unlearn that we own people - another core element to maintaining the existing money structure. People can choose to live together as families and choose to separate as it suits them. People would get married no longer as a business decision but to indicate with whom they feel they want to make a family. Family would make care decisions when someone is incapacitated or not developed enough to yet make informed decisions. Family would maintain occupancy or private utilization registry for sentimental purposes. That would be their only public value and purpose. People would register who is in their family and be able to change that registry as relationships change. No one would need approval from a lawyer or government if they can become family or need to stop being family. People would just update the family registry as changes needed to be made. People taking kids from another parent would be considered harmful and unsafe and that person would be managed as we would manage any person intentionally creating harm.
We would have systems denoting who is managing facilities, who are occupying living dwellings and who are using items. All management, coordination decisions and queues would be public - like a number system at a deli counter - we all see who is waiting and how resources are being utilized.
In lieu of an ownership system to facilitate utilization the new management systems would classify spaces and things for personal/family use or public use. For example, homes would be classified for private use and when someone is registered as occupant of the designated home space other people would not try to occupy that private space until it becomes vacant. Cars could be deemed as all public use, like books at a library, people would register for use of a car and then use it for as long as they need. Once their need for it expired then it would be returned to the public registry for anyone else to use. Parks, for example, would be public spaces that would not have a registration system, unless the natural environment can be destroyed by too many people using it at one time and then visitation registries would exist - like they do now - to preserve the quality and health of the environment for the rest of time. Anyone who is a member of a community would vote on all factors that impact a community space. True democracy.
Freedom will also require the adaptation of the world governments from the way they exist today. Citizenship would be retired. Communities and cultures can still exist and would based on the energy, history and decisions of the people living in a space. But we would no longer be owned based on the geographical location where we are born. We are all humans born on this planet and we can live where it is best for our personalities, interests, beliefs and skill sets. There would be no need for wars anymore because anyone can live anywhere. All resources are for everyone. Everything exists for the worldwide community. No one will have more or better than anyone else. There would be no theft because anyone can get anything from material providers. If something is lost or ruined we just create another one, or adapt to live without it.
People being able to move and live where they fit best will not only optimize the life of that individual but also improve the world as a whole. Currently if you are born in a place that does rice farming, but you would actually be a great scientist or pilot, that person is instead being a subpar and miserable rice farmer instead of living their true purpose. Other people would love to become a rice farmer but they are stuck making PowerPoint presentations or doing data entry to service money. Enabling people to live and engage where they fit best will truly make the world a brighter and happier place.
Imagine if in the animated feature “Ice Age” on top of fighting the elements and predators they also had to produce a paper saying they were allowed to move to a safer environment. Imagine being the creature denying those fleeing access to a chance to live because of documentation of where they were born. They didn’t choose to be born in a volatile area. They didn’t choose for the world to change. They exist and deserve to live. Everyone and everything deserves to live, or to be given the opportunity to live the best and longest life they reasonably can. We don’t need to torture each other nor destroy each other. Let's use the resources that exist together to give us the best chance against environmental attacks. There are no real geographic boundaries beyond natural ones. The other boundaries were made up to divide us from each other, we can live as the world actually is - free.
Imagine if a town caught fire and the people fleeing from the flames were stopped at an invisible line for the next town - denied the chance to avoid burning to death because of invisible lines and documentation. Imagine if people weren’t allowed to move outside the towns in which they live now - no matter what - without excessive process, simply because they were not born into the next town over. If a town goes from 10 people to 100 people, the original 10 people aren’t caring for the new 90. The new 100 is caring for the new 100. The new 100 will ensure there is enough of everything for everyone. To deny movement and relocation based on where we were born seems illogical if not inhumane.
We can see the model of life without citizenship again in the animal world. Animals are born somewhere, which is not documented nor are they kept there in perpetuity. Animals live and travel as they want and need regardless of where they originated. Countries and States are made up of invisible lines that do not actually exist. If you look at an aerial picture of the Earth or any country there are no actual lines dictating citizenship. Animals move freely about the planet. There is no literal line they cross and need to validate their existence, and plans, with documentation as they scurry, swim, stroll or soar from the United States to Canada or France to Germany or Australia to New Zealand… We are no different - actually. Systems were created to ensure ownership and hardship through documentation. We can change this and be free.
We already have the system of movement and relocation without having to prove you’re allowed to on a smaller scale. We travel from town to town without having to prove where we came from and where we are going. We can move from state to state in the United States without requiring a Visa to permit our movement. This existing structure would be expanded to everywhere. We would travel and migrate across the world geography as freely as animals do, or as freely as humans do within their local geography currently. Commonly agreed upon expectations, or rules, will need to be established to ensure society operates the best it can. Who enforces the rules and who acts as managers of the system will also need to be established.
This is similar to government systems today however it wouldn’t be based on ownership/power but facilitation and organization. The aim would not be punitive and oppressive but ensuring health and stability. We would have local management systems, region management systems and global management systems - all working in collaboration to ensure every human has what they need. We would use the existing map of towns, counties, states and countries to designate the areas where voting applies.
Proposed universal rules:
Vocation Expectations
All humans must participate to the best of their ability in a vocation that enables society to have care, healthcare, food, shelter, infrastructure, education and experiences.
Participation is deemed as individual engagement in a vocation that ensures health, access and stability for all humans.
Health is defined as living without suffering
Suffering is defined as physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual pain
Access is defined as the ability for any individual to be able to utilize an item, space or system
Stability is defined as constant and reliable access to items, spaces and systems
All humans will participate in assessments to determine their abilities, aptitudes and interests as it relates to vocations. These assessments will be available every 5 years to ensure individual capability and aptitudes are current, as individuals age and life events occur.
Humans will voluntarily fill openings for vocations needed to maintain the well being of humanity and our societies.
If Vocation roles are left empty such that there will be a critical failure in the system then there can be assignments for people to fill the role based on the results of their Vocation Match Assessment results. Alternatively the impacted community can determine that Vocation is no longer needed and can be abandoned. The impacted area(s) would vote on if mandatory assignment or abandonment of the role is the correct path forward.
E.g. A town was using Store A as their primary food and goods distribution source. The inventory manager and store organizer (stocker) roles become understaffed leaving the few people in the role to have to work excessive hours to maintain that service and facility. The Store Manager would have put out a call to the global staffing system letting them know of the shortage and try to get the staffing numbers back to a healthy number. If no one responded to fill the openings then the Store Manager would set a vote for the community that uses the Store:
Our Store has become/is becoming understaffed to such a level it cannot continue to operate safely and effectively. Does the community want to
A. Enable mandatory staffing protocol and have any available person with a Vocation Assessment Match score of 6 or above be told they need to fill the vacancies.
B. Close Store A, the community will need to travel to other areas for a Store or make their own food and goods.
All humans will maintain a healthy and stable community through their actions and words.
Humans that create harm to another human, the system or an animal accidentally will have natural consequences. The person can be coached to help them avoid such errors in the future.
Humans who create harm to another human, animal or society intentionally will need to be managed through treatment, removal, isolation or extermination. The community impacted by the harm would vote on how people purposely causing harm would be managed.
Residential Occupancy
People would register their use of a residence in the new Global Residence Registry.
No one person can have more than one residence registered to them unless: a) all people who need and want a residence are registered to one and there are vacant residences. B) the person's vocation requires them to travel extensively such that additional residences are necessary.
Infrastructure Management
To ensure safety and quality of life all infrastructure would be adequately maintained.
The definition of “adequately maintained” can be determined by the impacted community through voting.
The community manager would then be responsible for ensuring the materials and skilled workers necessary to maintain structures, plumbing, electricity, roads, waste, safety equipment… are requested and acquired from the applicable delivery systems in a timeline that prevents failure of functionality.
Personal Lifestyle Preference
There will be no rules on personal aesthetic or lifestyle matters. People can wear what they want. Eat what they need. Participate in whatever healthcare they choose. Share a life with whomever they choose. Ingest whatever substances they need. Engage in whatever spiritual practices they want. Hoarding or actions that prevent another from freedom and health would not be tolerated.
People can do whatever they want as long as it does not cause actual harm to another - denies, affects or risks another autonomous life.
Let’s Change:
The Management of Intentionally Harmful Humans
In our current caste system most people who cause harm intentionally do so from a place of deprivation. They have been denied adequate food, care, shelter, education, healthcare, experiences and opportunity. They have been treated inhumanely which resulted in them making destructive choices as a result of pain or trying to survive. The new society this Manual proposes will not have artificially manufactured deprivation and no one will be treated inhumanely. The improvement of the environment will allow people to be their true and best selves, reducing the people who cause intentional harm to people with mental health conditions or sociopaths.
Sociopaths sadly have a mental health condition that makes it so they actually don’t want everyone to be well. They crave destruction and pain. They need to feel superior to others and will destroy others to prove to themselves that they are dominant. Perhaps by the time this new healthy society is operational there will have been treatments developed to help rewire the brains of a Sociopath so the need to be destructive has been cured. If so then these people who intentionally create harm will be put into residential treatment programs and will not be permitted to re-enter society until they are proven to have their Sociopathic condition managed.
The other instance of people causing harm is corporations polluting the air, water and soil. Also putting laborers in unsafe work conditions. Destruction of people, animals or ecosystems knowingly and intentionally for their individual gain. The leaders of these companies decide it is ok to risk the health of their employees and people in the community for financial wealth. Because these wealthy business owners are in charge of society they do not face consequences for their knowingly destructive actions. In the new free market society community health and well being, which includes nature, is the top priority. Intentionally destroying people or ecosystems is not beneficial. We would find a healthy way to have the resource or live without the resource or good.
If there is no treatment available to help the Ted Bundys, Bernie Madoffs, Jeff Bezos’, Elon Musks, Jared Fogles, Jim Jones’, narcissists, rapists, polluters, dangerous managers and pedophiles (to name a few) of the world then they will have to be managed to protect healthy people from harm. It’s possible these people could operate in society as butchers, boxers or UFC fighters. They would be able to cause destruction and pain with beings that are expected to be killed or other beings who want battle. We could manage these intentional harm doers with the existing Prison structure that exists today. People who are deemed unsafe for themselves or others would be locked into a physical building with other people of their kind for the remainder of their days. Mental Health conditions are permanent and so there can be no option of allowing people who are unsafe to be amongst the general population. Prisons would be humane places as it is not a person’s fault they are born with a condition they cannot control. Prisoners would have healthy and adequate food, shelter, healthcare, human interaction - with their peers, and access to activities within the facility. They would lose the ability to travel or engage with anyone other than their peers. Modern technology would allow for these facilities to be run without the need for human guards, so no safe human is ever put at risk working with an unsafe human. Alternatively it could be decided to euthanize people who need to cause harm. Finally they could be given their own isolation community, but they would not have access to transportation resources. There could be other ways of managing these tragically unwell people. Feel free to add your thoughts in the comments section.
